Antika is an Australian jewellery boutique that established in 1986, and specialises in contemporary sterling silver jewellery for women and men.
The owners’ backgrounds in architecture and furniture design bring creativity and passion to jewellery.
Antika grew out of the owners’ interest in collecting artefacts and old jewellery from around the world.
Antika initially sold old copperware imported from Turkey, including kitchen and ornamental pieces and, a small amount of jewellery made from old Rajasthan silver beads and an array of semi precious stones such as lapis lazuli, turquoise and amethyst. As time progressed, the availability of antique Turkish copperware started to decline so the owners crafted more beaded jewellery and travelling to Mexico, the United States of American and Europe to find new designs and ideas. African, Indonesian, East Timorese and Philippine earthen and wooden artefacts were soon added to the collection.
As fashion trends changed the collection changed and today Antika’s jewellery is tailored to a more contemporary market. Today, the jewellery is made in Italy, Germany, The United Kingdom, Scandinavia and Thailand. Today’s designs are inspired from the old, and dedicated to simplicity and quality.
Wear with confidence.
